I love it when people send me music. This at least will slow down my search for rare Smiths tracks and make people think I am at least a little current and hip... for at least a little while longer.

I'm not sure if you all know this, but I actually went to school for film, not photography and pretty much put that aside to really work on developing my photography career. I'm for sure not sad about this at all, I love what I do. But there has always been a yearning for me to go back and work on filming stuff. Many events over the last year and a half have brought me closer and closer to trying to integrate video and film work in what I do. The first thing I can recall that really invoked this feeling was the Triumvir Sping 08 video it really showed me there was a way to really integrate what I was creating with my photography in a video platform.

Anyway, The other event was meeting up with with Pretty boy Paul aka Angel Eyes He's a pretty liked minded guy thats down to deal with my insanity, what more could I want. Anyway, I just wanted at put up a new vid that he shot for fun over at my office with some toys provided my yours truly.

Steve Aoki and crew were able once again to get me to come back for another season of Dim Mak maddness. It really didn't take too much this time, I was actually going to head up to LA anyway to see Frank Muzik Dj over at Cinespace, so stopping off and jamming out some stuff for Steve wasn't too big of a deal. Once I got thier Yoshio immediatly began popping off the bottles that my buddies over at Tyku hooked me up with and went straight to work. I really don't know what it is about me, maybe I just have one of those faces, but models just think that I am thier punching bag and that is especially the case with Ursula. I assure you this time it wasn't me getting fresh or anything like that. I was totally being a good guy this time...

I've been kicking it around Nashville for the last couple of days. I really like it here as a place to visit. I couldn't live here, but I have managed to make a few good friends that reside here. When i'm here I enjoy going to all of the local places to eat. This time we went over to Arnold's Country Kitchen which is what they call a meat and three. A meat is three is basically a meal that has a meat, and three veggie sides. Anyway, Arnolds was pretty rad. I'll have to thank DJ Y.O.O.K.s for the actual recommendation via twitter. Hopefully the good recommendations keep coming in.

Ps. this is what you get when you get too drunk, and people are too lazy to carry you around

With the Lakers win last night, and all the Laker mania going on around it I was reminded of this ad I shot recently with Trevor Ariza one of the stars of last night's game. I did this for as part of the LRG 10 year anniversary campaign and I heard that they also used some of the images from this shoot for part of an LRG and Dillards promotion that I found this video for.

I shot a ton of pictures this weekend, its a long story how I got this one, but Tommy is a very strange and interesting individual. Sometimes I even amaze myself in how I get into stuff like this. Needless to say I was pretty happy everything that I got this weekend, lets hope my next weekend at Pointfest in St. Louis will be as good, although a little less crazy would be nice for a change.

Girls, Girls, Girls
Believe it or not, I actually shot this out in front of Tommy Lee of Motley Crue's dressing room. Pretty hilarious.

So, I'm out and about shooting at Rock on the Range in Columbus Ohio. Its pretty funny that I was asked to come and shoot at this event considering I don't really know all too much about that bands preforming here. I am excited though to see Motley Crue. I remember listening to their album Dr. Feelgood in elementary school with my pals at the lunch tables on a boombox. I actually think I still have the tape some where at my place. Anyway, I don't really know what to expect from this gig. With Slipknot, Korn, Atreyu, and of course the Crue here, I don't think I'll have to worry about getting bored.

Here is an ad I was a part of for RVCA featuring one of my favorite artists Kelsey Brookes. Its crazy to think how far we have come and how things have changed when I met Kelsey for the first time a few years ago. I'm glad to be able to work with him again. For a while, he really was pretty much the only reason I would go down to San Diego. I love his life, surfing, skating, painting, and watching softcore porn, what else could a guy want out of life, on top of that, he's got a pretty amazing diet, beans all the time!

I know I am always apologizing for being bad at updates, but lemme do it again just in case you forgot. I've been globetrotting a bit, and recently I went to Paris, recently meaning I was there for just a day for no real reason, I wasn't even shooting, but anyway, This trip just made me once again realize how much I don't like it there. I was going to write some random hate crap about Paris and all that. After thinking about it though, there are many things I do like about it as well, that makes me look past the snotty attiudes and the rudeness I encoutner evertime I am there. I obviously have my love for Daft Punk and the Ed Banger crew, and of course there is one of my favorite Dj's that hails from there Kavinsky ( thank you Mykal and the fake rich crew for always being able to capture my best angle, here's also a photo I shot of Gaspard Auge from Justice I shot the other day over at Busy P from Ed Bangers Bday party before the little incident with security)

There is also my buddies that hail from the other areas of france, like my buddy Maxime from 55dsl (seriously the coolest person I know, well second to his wife), and of course the Crew from the creative group The Satisfaction, John, Anthony, and of course Pierre (my three stooges of euorpe). Anyway, the reason of me thinking about my parisian cohorts, is that the look book and billboards I did for Creative Recreation in Paris is finally out. I didn't even know the billboards went up yet till I was crusing about town yesterday with my little brother, and we saw one up on Melrose. This is a pretty bad pic, i'll stick another one up here soon, I was driving and the light was green when we saw it and my brother scrambled to grab my camera. Its always pretty insane when I see my stuff up like this. The books are pretty insane as well. So matte, so glossy, so cool! Probably one of the best print jobs I have ever scene!

The other day I was on twitter and writing some nonsense about how I wished Rick Froberg of the Hot Snakes and many other bands was in a new band. With in minutes, my old friends Kyle Kapow of the now defunted Kapow records hit me up with a link of Rick's new band signed to Sub Pop, Orbits! The power of Twitter! What I heard from then on was pure rock and roll bliss! I've been into Rick's stuff for quite some time and I'm even a bigger fan of his art. Another friend of mine, Rich Jacobs had introduced me to an art show that He and Rick were in at the New Image Art Gallery that I happened to shoot a few years back called "Think that Thought Alot" I geeked out pretty hard at that show over Rick and rambeled on and on about various pieces of his that I loved over they years. I ended up shooting a bunch of photos of his and Rich's stuff at the show, I also shot some portraits of both of them with thier work. Rick was such and incredibly nice guy, I hope I really didn't bum him out by nerding out too much. Another cool thing that I happened to catch that night was the first show of another Sub Pop band No Age. Come to think of it I ran into Dean from No Age over in Austin for SXSW and promised him photos from that night... oops I guess I need to really get back to him, about that. Well, I'm really glad we achive things really well here.
