Sundance was so weird this year. Sponsership dollars were down, celebrity attendence was down, but what did that mean for me? More fun! I pretty much consider myself bottom of the barrel in terms of status because in reality, I'm just a photographer. I mean seriously there are only a hand full of us that really get the star treatment. But anyway, lately I have been getting alot of it and I must say I like it! I really think that since overall attendance is down for things people are just dying to have people even come to there events and that is when vultures like myself or other d list celebrities swoop in. Alan Cummings was one of the few top guys that I actually got to meet during the festival. Honestly there are a few people that I nerd out over, Alan in a pretty awesome actor, I felt like such a dork. Man oh man, maybe something good can come from this recession.

Anyway, enough of that rant. The parties were pretty amazing, LRG once again had the best gifting suite out there. Its honestly a streetware guy's dream come true. I even managed to get myself into Jack White's party which was supposed to be pretty hard to get in, probably the coolest thing was My buddy Junior from Rayban invited me to a little party he had out there to give an award to Ewin Mcgregor , and I brought some friends of mine with me, and when Ewin recieved his award, he gave a speach and talked a little about my friends movie. It was totally insane.

This year has been insane. I don't really know what I could have done better and I can't really say that I could ask for more. Gridlock last nite was amazing, thank again to Proper Style for hooking it up. It was really fun, and I actually got to meet Seth Mcfarlane, the guy thats responsible for Family Guy and a few other shows. I haven't really watched that show too much, the episodes I have seen were pretty funny. People seem pretty nuts over it, and after meeting him, I think I may have to revist it, he was surprisingly nice and cool, and he hung out with some pretty fine chicks which makes him A-OK in my book.

It was also good to find out that the gals from Miss Wax can really hold it down, seriously, I think we were up till 7 or so, and that was when I passed out, who knows about them. Anyway, they pretty much rule and I expect big big things from these gals in the future. I must say I was quite impressed with Kylee's lovely ensemble, she came complete with a turbin and all! So dope!

So my buddy Arlo and the company Franco Shade have parted ways. I've been working with The Franco crew for a few years now and this really comes to me to me as a surprise. I've known about this for a while, but honestly I was kind of in disbelief. Anyway there is more info about that all here.

Well, now Arlo is off on his own, he's started his own brand Gost. It's all pretty exciting I don't have too many of the details yet, but you can check out what he has going on so far here.

The New Year is coming and we are going to end this in a big way with the Gridlock party over at the Paramount Studios. Katy Perry is preforming with a whole slew of Dj's, and I will be lucky enough to be chilling with the lovely ladies of Proper Style and Miss Wax Jewelry.

I've been into the Miss Wax stuff since I last saw it at the Agenda Trade show. I was so impressed, that
when I was approached by Proper Style about this event I wanted them to be a part of it, this stuff is genius! So i'm pretty excited that to be working them and Miss Kylee Fauss on this one . Its going to be a good, so if you can go, you should go, and if you do go, you should stop by and say whats up!

Ask me a year ago if I thought I would have gotten invited to a T Pain and Lil Wayne show, and I would have said no way. I never thought I would get invited to or be a guest to anything like this. This show was bonkers, I haven't seen anything like this before. The production was so awesome. This isn't really the kind of music I am into, but honestly I kind of enjoyed it. Maybe not as much as everyone else that was there, but it was pretty awesome.

So I am pretty late on putting this up on the web, but I guess this is one of those better late than never scenarios. My buddy Ray Young Chu and I have started collaborating on some paintings together under the name Chule. This I guess I really the first thing that I have said about it here and I'm sure its going to be way more frequent. Anyway, my buddy Travis from the Gym Class Heroes hit me up and asked me if I would wanna have something over at his art show at Gallery 1988. So I said sure, and then he gave me a dead line of two days to throw something together. So here are some pics of the piece and of the night sort of, I'm kind of feeling lazy today so I stole these pics from Triumvir's website. It was a pretty star studded event, you can take a look at some of the craziness here on gallery 1988 's website.

This is a pretty funny video I found of the event.

So this is not just any old Delorian, take a closer gander at this ride. YES! this is the very ride from Back to the Future. On the most recent Gym Class Heroes tour with T Pain and Little Wayne. I was able to roll around with Travis and Kid Cudi after the show and it just appeared in front of us through the fog, it was pretty amazing

Unfortunately the flux capacitor was removed from here so there was no chance that we could go back with a sports almanac so we can be living large today, but I suppose its all for the better, whos knows what kind of trouble I could get into with that much loot.

Last nights Creative Recreation party was awesome! More photos up soon. It was in celebration with Barney's of Creative's new Italian shoe line that I actually shot a few months ago... I actually forgot that I just shot all that stuff up until now, I seriously need to sleep more.

Today I am off to Paris! This is my first time, and I'm super excited. I really have no idea what to expect. All I know is that no matter what, its going to be a crazy one and hopefully I don't go nuts shopping.

Here is another Triumvir secret that I've kept pretty tight lipped about. This one was a bit easier, because everyone at least knew it was going down with Capcom and Street Fighter. Another thing pretty much everyone knew was that I was going to be shooting the stuff for ads. I've been shooting Triumvir's stuff for a while now, but one thing that everyone didn't know was that I've been working on a shirt for this, well sort of. I've been over seeing alot of art projects with my main man, Ray "ringboy" Young Chu. Everyone is pretty pumped about this one. I dunno if photos of this one has leaked out yet, but I don't wanna be the source, so you'll have to wait.

Guilty As Charged

Here's a little by product from my time last month when I hit the road with my guys the Gym Class Heroes on their co-headlining tour with the Roots. It was probably my best experience shooting a video which is pretty funny, since it was the smallest one I think I've been on. Anyway this song is from their latest record The Quilt that came out last month as well. Hopefully this time next week I can spill the beans on another little thing I came up with. Make sure to check out Travis and Petes art show over at Gallery 1988 next month, hopefully I'll have a little something out there as well!

One of the cool things about this job, is that you get to see everything a LONG time before it gets to come out. I've know about Triumvir's new kick with Nike for some time, but had to keep it to myself. Even my guys in my own camp didn't know about it, but now that they cat's out of the bag I'm happy that everyone is as excited about this as I am. I have to admit that actually a bigger fan of blazers, but hey who am I to complain. This was the first shot that I did of this kick, and hopefully if all goes well, nike and myself will be going places!

Here are some snapshots of an article that came out recently in the latest issue of status magazine. This is a pretty funny one that I actually give a pretty large amount of info in. It was pretty weird to go through all those old stories and talk about it for everyone to read. I can't believe how long it is either. I feel pretty lucky to have had such good treatment by these guys, First they gave me a cover last issue and now this. I feel like one pretty lucky guy.

so today I was off down south to do some work for my dudes over at Skullcandy with pro skater Pierre Luc Gagnon, or PLG as I guess most people call him. I didn't know too much about the guy to be honest with you, but when I asked my buddy Dylan over at Oakley all he said back was Woah, so I took that as a good thing. Anyway this is a pretty rough shot, that I just nabbed, because I don't really wanna spill the beans before the images drop. Anyway this shoot was pretty rushed and I was pretty bummed, because Pierre didn't have all that much time available to him, because of doctors appointments and things like that. So anyway I shot a bunch of photos and was bummed, he said that we could shoot again soon with more time available. Anyway he took I off, and I realized that he lives super close to DC Shoes, so I stopped by to visit and spend some time with them, because I hadn't been down there since I went to shoot the women's look book. During my visit, Pierre hit me up saying that he got out early and that if I was still around we could shoot more, so I went back and we were able to get a ton of much better shots. I'm pretty lucky that I like to dilly dally around alot, other wise I would have taken off and would have to have driven all the way back down to Carlsbad another day.

Anyway, here is a photo that I saw randomly that I shot with the new Mike Shinoda shoe from DC, Mike is actually wearing the shoe in this, believe it or not.

All this week I have been working in LA on a bunch things, but probably the most important thing I have been working on is this art show with my buddy Kelsey at the New Image Art Gallery. This is his first solo show in the U.S. and its pretty awesome. If you are free tomorrow, I highly advise you to come to the opening the work is pretty incredible.
