I was perusing the internet as I do every morning when I wake up, and I went over to see what my pals over at the City of Others were up to. I was introduced to these guys a while ago by those Korean party machines over at Hudson jeans. Anyway earlier this year I was in Vegas for Magic, and the Steves of the City of Others shot a Polaroid with me holding these two brackets, Shortly after that they asked me if the could use the the photo for stuff, I said sure and didn't think anything really of it till now... Now I just wish I didn't look so crazy that day.

Here is the first sample of some of the stuff I have been doing for Mr. Steve Aoki and his crew over at Dim Mak. This ad features the magical Murs - lin. Who I was just with in the Gym Class Heroes music video for the song Cookie Jar. This thing was especially fun, because we got to do pretty much anything we want with it. Little Ray Ray went all out on this one for the illustrations. Steve actually makes a pretty awesome camo in this one as well. I'm really glad I held on to all of my old dungeon and dragons books. I have to admit, that our main referance for the dragon was from the original monsters manual. I'm not proud of that fact that I have such things on hand, but one must confront his past to over come it right?

Well, its here, its out, and i'm stoked. My photos of Jonas from LRG for Status Magazine. Those guys from the mag are really awesome to work with and hopefully I'll be able to do more with them in the future. They ran a bunch of the photos I shot of Jonas for them, and here are and example of two of them for you all to check out. I hope you all dig them. It was pretty cool to work with Jonas in this way. I shoot so much for the guy, but its never pics of him. So its kind of cool to be shooting Jonas You can actually check out the whole thing online here . Its pretty sweet and they actually interview a few of my friends in there. There last issue was also pretty awesome as well, check it out! Hopefully sooner than later you may see me grace the pages of this mag!

I'm Back from Vegas, and remarkably, I survived the insanity. I was out there for the Magic Fashion tradeshow. I've been out for the show numerous times and its always pretty hectic. Lots of parties, lots of booze and pretty much no sleep. I've been pretty much on a non stop travel extravaganza for work. I don't think I've spent a full week home for the past three months. But I am happy now that I can hang out at home and recover from this nonsense.

While perusing the show I noticed the Franco Shade guys featuring their latest ad with yours truly in it
Which was really cool and right by the candy where it should be. A while ago I told Arlo that The Franco stuff needed to look more gay. He looked at me quite puzzled, I said that the stuff looked kind of gay, and if they were going that way they should go all the way and make tank tops. Well, out of my fustration, I went out and made my own gay tank tops so I can now rock Franco gear the way it was ment to be, with pride!

While in Vegas I went to at least 15 or so parties in a 4 day period, I think I lost a bit of my mind there. I don't recall as much as I should, I am still sick from it, and I know I will be back there sooner than I would like to be. Mike from Fakerich and Dim Mak
put on a pretty rad party, the first night, Mike always seems to snap off pics at the right time. Anyway, go buy a copy of the new Antenna Magazine and check out the first ad I've ever been in, don't forget to thank Arlo for getting me involved with that one.

So this is kind of nuts, I just recently had one a pretty surreal experience out in Pittsburgh shooting for those Mall giants, American Eagle for their North American Music Union Festival. When I first was approached about this gig I was pretty skeptical. But upon hearing them out I found the the project was quite cool. I've kept pretty quiet about the project because I wasn't really sure how it would work out, but honestly it was really a great experience working with all those guys. Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers hosted the event where, Bob Dylan, The Raconteurs, The Roots, Gnarls Barkely, The Black Keys, Spoon, Black Mountain, Nasa, and the Tiny Masters of Today preformed. The experience all around was incredible. I really didn't get to sleep all that much since they needed all of the images ASAP, but honestly I don't know if I could have had a better time. Its also pretty cool to have my stuff on the American Eagle website.

It's finally here, the Gym Class Heroes new music video for their song "Cookie Jar" off of their upcoming album, The Quilt. I'm not going to dilly dally, and come up with various reasons why I am posting about this, other than the fact that one, I love these guys, I always have a great time with them and I love working with them. Two, I and quite fond of their music and three, I'M IN THIS VIDEO! I've been in there videos before making little cameos when you can barley make out my image much like any photograph of a mythological beast, but this one you can totally see me. I know this sounds really narcissistic, but I think its really cool that I am in a video, but I think its even cooler that I am in one with my friends. any way here is the video, I hope you dig it

Here is our most recent ad for Triumvir that's featured in the latest issue of Antenna Magazine. This is probably our most ambitious and probably my most favorite to date. I mainly worked on the art direction on this one where Ray pretty much did all the hard work. Kind of nice for a change. The guys over at Joy Engine did a really awesome post on this one for us. Way nicer and better than I could do. I really need to flex my blogging muscles a little more. Anyway the next installment of this one is going to be nuts, I can't wait.

Here is a new ad that I worked on for the boys at imaginary kingdom. My buddy Ray and I came up with this concept a while ago for a different project, but ended up shelving it to do something else. When we met up with these guys, we new this concept finally had a home. Hopefully this series will continue on for a while. we has alot of fun coming up with it and finding all the little elements to go into it. Anyway, this is my first of three new ads that are in Antenna Magazine. I'll post the other ones up soon.

I can't believe it, I've started working for my favorite watch company. G shock! Pretty nutty, considering the fact that I really didn't have to do anything. They hit me up! so cool . Any way, I have to give mad props to my girl Melissa K over at Casio for plugging me to them, this is really amazing.

So many moons ago, I teamed up with a bunch of crazy dudes from across the pond from this company called The Satisfaction. I've had tons of ups and downs with these guys, but at the end of the day we all leave with smiles and have some pretty funny stories to tell. I love these guys, hopefully it won't be too long before I see them again. These images are actually pretty old, but I still love them, never late than never I suppose. Eastpack will always have a special place in my heart.

07.25.08

This is kind of cool. I am updating this section of the site off of my phone. Hopefully this will work out pretty good and I'll be able to update more often. One thing that kind of sucks is that I can't really put photos up on here right away, I'd have to stick them in later, which kind of sucks. Any way I'm in line over at JFK airport. I've been in nyc for the past week for the project and capsule tradeshows, seeing what's what in the fashion industry. I've got some pretty great news from creative recreation, but I'll leave that surprise for my next post.

While I was here I had my first meeting, well at least professionally with dim maks very own Steve Aoki. It was quick, crazy, and frantic, just like I knew it would be. But great nontheless.

Probably the coolest people that I met up with out here were Maxime and Ann from 55dsl , they are so AWESOME. I love them, and they were so hospitable. They seriously made me never want to leave and even more so, they made me want to be part of the 55dsl/diesel family. I originially met them as well as Andrea, Brooke, and the rest of the 55dsl fam out at coachella, and have really missed their prescience ever since.
While I was here I was also very fortuate to visit with a bunch of photostudios and kick it for a while and check out the facilities. The first one I stopped by was The Sandbox, which is where my cousin works. I've been there before, but its really always changeing, if I ever became a cataloge or commercial photographer, I could only wish that they would allow me to join their ranks. Its such a positive and uplifting enviornment, I love it. The other studio I visited with was DEX. My good friend alice is a producer there, and has been telling me about it for quite some time. So it was really nice to see what she has been working on. She's got a pretty nice place and I'm quite proud of her. Anyway, its actually time to board my plane so I gotta go!

Yup yup, i'm in the new Gym Class Heroes video, my brief appearance is much like the illusive sasquatch who is rarely ever seen and extremely difficult to photograph. but yeah I'm there, just watch for the round asian kid in a red tank top, watch closely, or you'll miss it...Photobucket

I'm out in NYC right now for the Capsule and Project tradeshows. It's pretty nuts that I was just here last week for a gig. Anyway my pals over at creative recreation are having a little party over at Mansion NYC, hopefully I'll see you around.

Today was pretty rad, hopefully I started what will be hopefully a long relationship with with Mr. Steve Aoki and his retinue of LA party giants Dim Mak. We shot some pretty hot ladies, well... scratch that, some really hot ladies and one really hot dude. Here is a video of some of the hotness that can be seen featuring the one and only Murs.

06.22.08

I thought I was pretty exhausted before, but today, I think I am probably the most tired I have ever been. I am super sick and I feel like I am dying and I regret nothing. A few days ago, Atlantic Records hit me up about shooting some stills during and music video shoot for my guys the Gym Class Heroes. I'm sure they knew I couldn't refuse. Anyway, we shot two different music videos in two days with music video director Dale "Rage" Resteghini. It was pretty fun. The whole experience made me really miss my days in film school when I would work on my projects and have a crew and all that. This for sure wasn't as exhausting as when we shot clothes off last year, that was nuts and i'm not sure I could survive another experience like that. I actually have cameo's in each of the videos with is pretty cool. I'll have pics up soon of that. Can't have stuff leaking out too early.

06.20.08

Today was the kick off of the Vans Warped Tour and I totally wasn't prepared for it. I had to wake up and 4 this morning to catch my flight back home from the RVCA party in San Fran, to get out to Pomona bright and early. Its funny, that Warped never really changes. You always know what to expect. Lots of kids, lots of sweat, and lots of dust. I woke up pretty grumpy this morning, so I was in no mood to take pictures....Sorry. Good news is, that I'll be out there soon enough shooting. I'm flying out to cover all the NY and NJ dates as well as hit up the Project tradeshow and visit with some friends while I am out there. I'll for sure fill up my years Warped Tour quota of photos there. Anyway, Warped was pretty cool. I got to see alot of old friends there, which was really nice. Pretty much that is the best thing about Warped Tour. Getting to see alot of old friends in one place. Its kind of like a high school reunion with people that you actually kind of care about and like... for the most part. Sucks I have no pics, I wish I didn't get so grumpy this morning when I decided not to take any pics. oh well...

06.18.08

This has been a long time in the making, and I will be off on a plane in a minute to SF to go shoot this for RVCA. I am pretty excited about... well I can't really even say that. I would be really excited about the whole thing, if I wasn't so tired. Thats better a better description on how I feel about the whole thing. Anyway i'll be flying that morning to cover the party for RVCA and then I will be off again in the morning to fly back to catch up with the Skullcandy guys at the Warped Tour. I'll put some pics up soon of the party, its goona be a great one if I can survive it.

Tonite, Vans is having a little shindig over at the billy shire gallery in Culver city celebrating their collab with the artist Niagara. My pals over at Vans hit me up to do a little shooting at this thing for them, and really how could I refuse, it is Vans. Myke from FakeRich will be rolling with me, because honestly, I have really grown use to having an entourage, this one is going to be good.

So once again, my boys Datarock are taking over the Detroit Bar, in Costa Mesa. This is going to be pretty sweet, I just saw them out in San Fran, for a pretty amazing set that Kat from Levis unfortunately missed (I'm rubbing it in right now, because I really wanted her to check out their set). Anyway its going to be awesome, I heard they are getting a limo and everything to drive them from their gig at the Henry Fonda with LadyTron, Such rockstars.

But before you roll over to the bar, head over to RVCA to check out this little surf flick my pal Alex Knost is in called Tales from the Black Van, I'm going to fly home especially for this one, it should be pretty rad.

So things are getting cooler and cooler with those photos that I did for Bun B. I knew that he used one of the photos on a bus wrap for he tour, but I didn't think they were going to use it in his music video. So sweet. I know its only in there for a second but still I think its pretty cool, I never thought I would ever be shooting covers for hip hop records, so to get all this is a pretty awesome bonus, thanks Byrone for pointing it out. its like 2 minutes and 30 seconds in

This is one of my most recent ads I did for Skullcandy with Christian Hosoi. I've seen it all over the place I'm pretty happy that the Skullcandy guys have been really pushing it. Its crazy to see the same ad in mags over and over again. I'm pretty use to getting my work out there in the mags and all that, but its crazy to see them using the same image again and again, especially when I know they have other stuff coming in. Its just cool to know they like my stuff that much.

05.10.08

So after my last post about Coachella, I found a bunch of other pics from SXSW that I totally forgot to post earlier. It kind of sucks that these are all kind of old news, but oh well I guess, its better than nothing I suppose. SXSW was pretty cool, I wasn't really able to see that many "new" cool bands. I mainly saw a bunch of more established acts which kind of sucks and takes away from the discovering new bands aspect of SXSW, but i guess thats what you get when you go to these things for work. It was pretty cool to be able to see Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D. a couple of times. I got to meet up and hang out with a ton of artists here are a couple that I found on this camera, A-track, David Banner, and Del the Funky Homosapien.
